When property professionals buy, sell or apply for registration of property transactions in England and Wales, e-conveyancing will make it possible for them to deal electronically with each other and with Land Registry.

Land Registry is leading the development of e-conveyancing, and we are introducing its component services in stages. By 2010, transfer of land ownership, removal of old mortgages from the register, and registration of new mortgages will all be possible over the internet.

This will make buying property in England and Wales quicker and more certain. Every buyer, seller, and property professional will benefit.
